Life
Where did November go? Seriously, I have had something everyday keep me so busy, it is hard to believe November is coming and going and I have not had a chance to really enjoy it! Fall has been fabulous this year!
I hope life slows down a bit! I am looking forward to off track in December so the girls and I can stay in our P.J.’s and visit the Library often and Read lots of great books and have hot cocoa and watch movies and play board games!
Ahhhhh……
The day after Thanksgiving McKay and I take the girls up Weber Canyon and pick out a Christmas Tree and chop it down. This year we will chop down our 12th Christmas Tree together. Good times!
Well, this weekend is going to be busy, so I better get off the computer and get my work done!

Kids
My little one, Nahvi, turns 4 in 2 weeks. She has really been trying hard to find a way to still have a birthday and not turn 4. She wants the party, the presents, the cake, the whole enchilada but not the part where you turn from 3 to 4.
Last night, she asked me in her serious little voice, “Mom, if you don’t put on the number 4 candle on my cake, will that make it so I stay 3?” and I said “hmmm that might work…. what number do you want on your cake?” “the number 3, so that I don’t turn 4″ I then said ” you are so cute wanting to stay 3, but you have been alive and living with us for 4 years, so not putting on the number 4 candle won’t work you will still keep growing and turn 4, I am sorry…” I just hugged her and smiled, she is such a sweet little kid.
She is really struggling with this, poor thing. I wish I could stop time so I could have my cute 3 year old forever too!

Update- Today she told me, she thinks she is ready to turn 4.

Weight Loss
I started training with my friend Brynnly on October 1st 2009, and so far I have lost 13.4 lbs! I am so excited! I love the food menus she gives us and I don’t feel deprived of any food or hungry and if I do get hungry, I eat and it is okay!! The workouts are great, they kick my butt and I like it. I am feeling great and the best part is, today I slipped on a new pair of jeans that didn’t fit 4 weeks ago!
I am so glad I have Brynnly to help me through these winter/holiday months.
If you are out there thinking, there is no way I could do this, I challenge you to Change your Mind and say You CAN, that is the first step towards success!

Life
I turned 31 on Friday, the 23rd! I have to say it was a great one. I woke up to my family in bed with me, a bunch of presents and carrot cake for breakfast, how awesome is that? I also had McKay home with me so that we could get ready for the Science Lab booth we do for Moab’s school each year. The day was filled with gifts, emails, phone calls, texts, cards, facebook messages. I also got a big surprise from Moab’s class when I walked in, they were all hiding and shouted Surprise!, it was awesome! My Mom came out dressed as a cute Witch and took the kids to the carnival and home for a sleepover so McKay and I could run our booth. We were at the school from around 3:00-9:40 and then McKay took me to see The Vampire’s Assistant to end my awesome birthday! Thanks to all my friends and family for everything!
Okay, now for the lameness!
Wow, how lame is it that I didn’t find time to write on my blurg!? Well, not so lame since the week was spent working out, getting ready to run a 10k, making costumes, getting stuff ready for our science booth for Moab’s school carnival, my birthday and a bunch of other things I am not going to list!
I will do individual posts another day for the costumes, the science lab, and the 10k.
Here is to a good, not so busy week! Yeah Right!

Cleaning,
Life
Yeah, Hurricane NahviMo hit our home this weekend. Then, I decided to be lazy on Monday, so now the house has an extra day of mess! I am not looking forward to cleaning it.
So, I guess I better get started, it is obviously not going to clean itself. To bad the future wasn’t like the Jetsons told us it would be like. I was looking forward to Robot Rosie and automatic everything, I can’t believe the T.V. lied to me as a child!

Life
Right now life is super busy and it has kept me from doing a few things I enjoy:
- Reading
- Writing
- Drawing
- Photography
- Late night movies
- Spending time with friends
It seems like this happens every October and starts to get a little better in November and December! I sure hope so, for my own sanity!

You keep feeling like you are forgetting to do something and you didn’t write it down and you obviously can’t remember what it is, and it is driving you mad!
Yeah, that has been me, every day this week. So, if I told one of my friends out there, I would do something for them today, or if I am supposed to be somewhere today, and I don’t do it, or I don’t show up, please forgive me!
Thanks,

Deep Thoughts,
Exercise
One thing I have discovered with anything I do, specifically Running, is that I can talk myself into or out of doing it. Today, I seriously had to talk myself into not giving up and keep running. It was cold(freezing cold!), my legs were burning that cold/hot burn, I was tired, I was pushing a stroller, bla bla bla….
I think it is interesting that just by saying to myself, “I can make it to my doorstep!”, my mind was ready to override my body that was saying “no I can’t! Let me freaking walk!”. I also find it interesting that if I tell myself “I can’t do it, I am too tired!”, my mind lets me fail, I let myself fail. I don’t know if this is even making sense, but basically what I am saying is, we can do anything if we keep a positive outlook and start saying ” I CAN!” instead of saying “I CAN’T!” with anything in our lives. Our minds are stronger than we think!

Weight Loss
I decided it is time to get myself back on track with my weight loss goals. I can keep myself motivated for the most part, but it is hard to keep going because it is such a long process. So, I wanted to do something different. I didn’t want to join a gym because I have everything I need at home, I like running and exercising outside, and I would rather spend the money somewhere else. I am not a fan of extreme diets, they don’t work, they don’t stick. I am a fan of eating better and exercising more so I decided to hire a personal trainer. Lucky for me, I have a good friend that lives close by who is an amazing trainer and nutritionist who teaches in a group setting. My first session with her and my group was last night and it was just what I am looking for. She gives us the tools we need to be successful if we are willing to do the work and follow her plan. She weighs us and does our measurements once a week. I know that with her help I can get rid of the weight, I am so excited!
I think I may start a side blog to keep track of my progress.

Kids,
Life
I love when I wake up with each daughter next to me, snuggling with me in bed. I can’t help but smile when they crawl into bed with me and cuddle because it is chilly and because they love me. One of the best parts about being a Mom is the constant love you get from your children. My girls love hugging and kissing me, and if they are not hugging and kissing me they are using me as a jungle gym. They are pretty good about staying in their beds, but sometimes I get an early morning visit and I can’t help but smile. They are growing up so fast and soon, these little cute things they do for me will slowly go away. Sadness.
I am laying in bed right now and Nahvi just walked by Naked and announced she is taking a bath, hmmm…. I guess I am done with my blurg post! Oh, the joys….
Once again, I am smiling and no explanation is needed!

Life
I could live where it rains a lot. Something about the rain has always calmed me. I love getting comfy and reading a good book or watching a movie. I love heating up the tea pot and having a hot chocolate on a rainy day! I remember a lot of fun times with my sister out in the rain. We had a pump-up umbrella that gave us a lot of grief, but it was fun! Remember sending sticks down the gutters, or just running around barefoot in the rain? Good Times!
Today I am going to take the girls to the Library and to a movie at the Dollar Theater. We originally were going to the Zoo, but the rain changed our plans!

Wierdness
Last night McKay wanted to watch these home videos some college guys made. They start out with a creepy intro video with subtitles that explains some odd behavior and weird noises. Well, in some of them you can see this Alien guy they are calling Slenderman. Now, these are totally fake, and the whole thing is what is called an ARG, but we were sucked in and totally freaked out. When I was little I totally believed I would be abducted by Aliens, of course, I don’t believe that anymore, but stuff like this brings out that obsessed with Aliens kid in me again.

Life
That is what my body wants, so I am giving in and resting today. I have been running , running, running for 3 weeks with no real breaks. It finally caught up to me with a cold and I was not able to rest this whole weekend. Not even my sprained ankle stopped me, but my cold is forcing me to take a little break. I hate this! I am not that sick but I know it will not go away unless I take it easy.
The kids are being pretty good about it. Moab understands that I don’t want to be running around and doing things so she is helping a lot. Nahvi thinks I am her servant so she is not as willing to give me a break! Little stinker
Lets hope I can kick this and get back to having a fun week with the girls before Moab goes back to school.

Goals
Project clean my house from top to bottom in 2 weeks: DONE!!!!
I didn’t post yesterday because I didn’t clean the fridge out as planned. Life happens, so, today I had double duty. Now I don’t want to whine, but today has been a rough day I sprained my ankle last night and I can’t walk very well, and I am fighting off a lame summer cold, so I almost tossed my whole plan out the window on the LAST DAY, but I didn’t want to have all the hard work I have done in the last 2 weeks stand for nothing. My point, you can do anything you want to do if you set your mind to it, and my second point, if you say your are going to do something, you do it!
Thanks to all my friends who come and visit my blurg and have been cheering me on here, facebook and in person. It means a lot to have good, supportive friends!

Goals
Today I needed to get the Laundry room done. It was also pointed out by a friend that I said I did my Pantry and Shoe Closet on Monday, well, as you saw, I cleaned the Shoe Closet but I totally forgot the Pantry, so I cleaned the Pantry out today as well. I am very determined to do everything I promised to do and I will not make excuses, and I will get the jobs done in the two week time frame I have set. This is something that is important to me. I think a lot of people say they will do things, and don’t carry them through, or make a lot of excuses! Well, if you know me, I do what I say and I mean it and I don’t have time or patience for excuses and if I make a mistake, I fix it!
So, here are the before and after pictures of the Pantry which I did before I went to The Wizard of Oz, and some before and after of the Laundry Room that I did when I got home from the movie after the kids were in bed. I am so glad I got them done, it feels really good to make goals, and accomplish what I set out to do. I think the pantry and the laundry room look great!
Enjoy,

As promised, some pics from my GNO with my daughters and our friends, Chelsea and her daughter Stella!
First off, it was awesome. I got so excited and a little teary eyed, this was a dream come true. I laughed, clapped, enjoyed my daughters responses. When Dorothy opened the door after she landed, the girls at the same time responded, Moab with a “WOW” and Nahvi with a “Whoa”. They giggled, laughed out loud, and enjoyed every minute. Nahvi told her Dad when we got home. “We went to The Wizard of Oz and IT WAS AWESOME!” in her cute little raspy voice. They couldn’t stop talking about it, which is exactly what I hoped for. I know this will be a lasting Memory. They both wanted to know if we owned it so they could watch it again. Chelsea and I talked the whole way home about how awesome the experience was. It looked and sounded so, so good! The crowd was so much fun, giggling, laughing, clapping. It was amazing, I am so glad we went. Thanks for a wonderful night girls.
IT WAS OZSOME! Like my new word I invented? I do

This is one of those “Once in a lifetime” opportunities that I don’t want the girls and I to miss.
I hope that my girls remember it forever, I sure will…
