My 3 year old is trying to find the cure for aging.

My little one, Nahvi, turns 4 in 2 weeks. She has really been trying hard to find a way to still have a birthday and not turn 4. She wants the party, the presents, the cake, the whole enchilada but not the part where you turn from 3 to 4.

Last night, she asked me in her serious little voice, “Mom, if you don’t put on the number 4 candle on my cake, will that make it so I stay 3?” and I said “hmmm that might work…. what number do you want on your cake?” “the number 3, so that I don’t turn 4″ I then said ” you are so cute wanting to stay 3, but you have been alive and living with us for 4 years, so not putting on the number 4 candle won’t work you will still keep growing and turn 4, I am sorry…” I just hugged her and smiled, she is such a sweet little kid.

She is really struggling with this, poor thing. I wish I could stop time so I could have my cuteĀ  3 year old forever too!

I wish there was a way to keep them from growing up so fast too. If she figures it out, let me know :) Too cute!

How fun! I love Nahvi and the things she says. Such a cutie! I can’t beleive that in 5 months Becca will be 2! And these are some of the fastest months of the year I think with all of the holidays. Tell Nahvi that it’s okay to be 4, because she will always be your baby girl no matter how old she gets.
