The Box
I loved the movie, The Box. I wanted to see it in the theater, didn’t make it due to busy life. It came out on DVD this week so I rented it at Redbox. A lot of people hated it, but I really enjoyed it for a lot of reasons which I will now list!
- I loved the music, I felt like I was watching an old scifi thriller, or an old Bette Davis creepy movie.
- I loved the moral conflict, I love movies that make us think what we would do in certain situations.
- I loved the look of the movie, it looked like the 70’s .
- I loved the feel of the movie, it was creepy with out being super scary.
- I loved that there was no need for swearing, or extreme violence to make the movie intense.
- I loved the acting. Cameron Diaz and James Marsden were awesome!
- I loved that the kids were not evil! I hate scary movies where the kids are possessed and evil!
- I loved how it ended, it was surprising and a great twist!
I went out and bought the DVD and will be watching it with McKay this weekend. Luckily, McKay and I have the same taste in movies, so I look forward to hearing what he thinks and what he gets out of the movie.
I found out it was originally written by Richard Matheson, it was a short story called Button, Button that was also made into a Twilight Zone episode, which I think I may have seen. He also wrote I am Legend , which I still need to read.
Thank goodness for Redbox, you only need to waste a dollar and 2 hours of your life if The Box sounds interesting to you at all.
