Every week they will focus on a new book and have some neat discussions to read and comment on. I love to read, and I love talking to people who love to read. I love hearing others ideas and opinions, so this blog excites me! This is such a great idea, I look forward to reading it every day, and so should you!

Amazing book, amazing story.
I don’t think I have ever enjoyed a book as much as I enjoyed "the host".
I bought the book late Friday night, we had my cousin’s wedding reception to go to, so we stopped into Barnes and Noble with minutes to spare. Saturday was another busy day, we had a lot to do, we ran a 5k in the morning and I needed to make an appearance at McKay’s cousin’s wedding shower.
So, I grabbed my new book, and hopped on the train to Salt Lake City. With all the distractions, including a strange, yet nice man staring at me across the way, and a phone call, I managed to get maybe 30 pages into the book, slow for me.
Sunday, church and stuff so not much reading time, maybe another 30 pages, mind you, this is killing me, since I am so into this book already, it was really hard to put it down, but life comes first.
Monday, Memorial Day, and Mom not feeling so well day, so I got to read my book all day, while the kids played with their Dad and danced around Mom. I got about half way through the book by dinner time.
Tuesday, temple day, got up at 4:00 am, came home around 6:30, started reading, then napped, then showered, then read some more, the kids had a lazy P.J. day/T.V. day/Nintendo Day, while I read my book. The kids were great, they let me read, once again, not feeling my best, very tired, so it was nice the kids let me have another restful day with my book. Well, as of 1:00 am this morning, I finished the book. All 619 beautiful pages of "the host".
I have never been on such an emotional roller coaster while reading a book. This book brought so many unexpected emotions to the surface, I was amazed at the depth of the writing, of emotions and conflicts she put in this Novel.
All I can say is, Wow, I loved it more than her "Twilight" Series, even though I enjoyed them immensely, "the host" is at the top of my list. It is a Science Fiction book, but at the same time, Fantasy. If you don’t like aliens, or SciFi, throw that out long enough to read "the host". Male or Female, this book is for anyone who is part of the human race.
I am looking forward to more of this story from Stephenie in the future. I am so glad that she is doing what she loves and that we get to enjoy her amazing imagination!
Ok, back to real life! I have not posted in awhile, so I will be putting up a large update post in the next day or so.

Novels
I love this series! Very well written. I enjoyed the first two very much, I am starting the third this week.
I have always enjoyed the thought of Vampires and other forms of life out in the world, and these books let my imagination go wild!
Check out Stephenie’s Web Site and the books if you are looking for something good to read this year.

Novels
No spoilers here, I will probably have a page set up, in the menu to the right, open for discussion.
I really enjoyed the final Harry Potter Novel. McKay and I read it together, our tradition, so it took us a little longer to finish. Last night at about 11:00 pm it came to an end. What a great book, great writing. I can’t wait till Moab is able to read the Harry Potter Books.
I have to say, I am a little sad the story came to an end, but at the same time, I am excited to start reading the whole series from start to finish now. I can’t wait to see what J.K. has in store for us with her wonderful imagination.
Moab starts school on Wednesday(woo hoo) she is so excited! Yeah, I know I was going to Homeschool, but that is another story, another post.

Novels
In the last couple weeks I have been sucked into another Terry Brooks book called The Sword of Shannara.I don’t have much time, little bits here and there.
It is such a descriptive book that I can picture everything so vividly. If I had more time to read it, I would have been done a week ago.
If you don’t enjoy fantasy books like Lord of The Rings, or Harry Potter, then you probably would not enjoy Terry Brooks.
If you Do enjoy fantasy books, then I recommend The Magic Kingdom of Landover Books and the original Shannara Trilogy, starting with The Sword of Shannara.
