Hey everyone! How was your weekend? Ours was great, the kids went to Grandmas, I got a new professional camera at an affordable price, McKay and I went climbing with some good friends, we went to the shooting range to fire McKay’s gun and we enjoyed good Indian food and some time alone.
Now on to the real point of this post:

Well, as you all may already know, Moab’s friend Spencer is still fighting his battle with Cancer, he is just at the beginning of his battle. She was able to have a gameboy play date with him the other night. They just chilled and played gameboys together for a few hours. She came home beaming, knowing that she just helped Spence have an enjoyable night.

Our community is so Awesome. I have seen so many amazing things happen from just people pulling together and helping this amazing family get through this horrible trial.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 5th, Chick-fil-A in South Jordan is having a “Day for Spencer”. This will be a fundraiser for Spencer who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcom on February 2, 2010. This fundraiser will help with Spencer’s medical bills for the course of his treatment.
From 11:00 am to 7:00 pm the South Jordan Chick-fil-A will be donating 10% of the sales to The Spencer Gooch Donation Fund.
Chick-fil-a is also offering a gift card for a free Chick-fil-A sandwich to every $10 CASH or CHECK donation someone makes to Spencer.
***Please bring CASH or CHECK to donate this way***
We will be enjoying Lunch and Dinner tomorrow at the South Jordan Chick-fil-A , we hope all of you make a point to help out this wonderful family and enjoy some yummy food at the same time!

My little one, Nahvi, turns 4 in 2 weeks. She has really been trying hard to find a way to still have a birthday and not turn 4. She wants the party, the presents, the cake, the whole enchilada but not the part where you turn from 3 to 4.
Last night, she asked me in her serious little voice, “Mom, if you don’t put on the number 4 candle on my cake, will that make it so I stay 3?” and I said “hmmm that might work…. what number do you want on your cake?” “the number 3, so that I don’t turn 4″ I then said ” you are so cute wanting to stay 3, but you have been alive and living with us for 4 years, so not putting on the number 4 candle won’t work you will still keep growing and turn 4, I am sorry…” I just hugged her and smiled, she is such a sweet little kid.
She is really struggling with this, poor thing. I wish I could stop time so I could have my cute 3 year old forever too!

Update- Today she told me, she thinks she is ready to turn 4.

Kids,
Life
I love when I wake up with each daughter next to me, snuggling with me in bed. I can’t help but smile when they crawl into bed with me and cuddle because it is chilly and because they love me. One of the best parts about being a Mom is the constant love you get from your children. My girls love hugging and kissing me, and if they are not hugging and kissing me they are using me as a jungle gym. They are pretty good about staying in their beds, but sometimes I get an early morning visit and I can’t help but smile. They are growing up so fast and soon, these little cute things they do for me will slowly go away. Sadness.
I am laying in bed right now and Nahvi just walked by Naked and announced she is taking a bath, hmmm…. I guess I am done with my blurg post! Oh, the joys….
Once again, I am smiling and no explanation is needed!

Today, I was playing with Nahvi and decided to go get us a snack. I went to the fridge and noticed the chocolate frosting I made yesterday. I thought I would serve Nahvi and I up a spoonful. When I handed her a spoon of chocolate frosting she said (with a huge, proud smile): ” I have been eating that already, I’ve been sneaking it with my fingers, yesterday and today! Dad didn’t even notice!” So I am totally laughing, smiling, and checking the bowl for evidence, sure enough there were little scrape marks in the chocolate. She stood there and giggled, so did I.
I love my Nahvi, she is Hilarious!

I am writing a children’s picture book, and today I sat down with my notes and actually wrote my first draft. It is good enough that I can now start drawing the pictures! Yay! I think I will like that slightly more than the writing part of it, although I enjoyed writing it more than I thought I would.
I wish I could share what I am doing, but I think it is best to keep it on the down low for now! Just know, that I am finding my passions in life and taking off with them and enjoying every minute. I have involved the girls, and they are super excited with what I have so far!

Okay, so I thought I would share a funny conversation I had with Nahvi today.
“Mom, I can’t find one of my Poke’mon cards, one of my fire cards!”
“I am sorry Nahvi, where do you think it is?”
“I don’t know! Maybe the tooth faerie took it!”
“Why would the tooth faerie take your card Nahvi?”
“Because she is mean! I hate her, I hate her, I hate her! I only like faeries, not tooth faeries!”
a little later, she said: ” I am just kidding, I like her.”
She cracks me up, everyday.

“Mom, when I was a baby, Me and my Sis were at a Museum, and I was like “Waaah Waaaah” and my sis was holding me and it was a pink museum, cause pink is my favorite color. There were pink elephants and a blue Lion, and Mom, you were not there, you were at the store buying things, and Dad was at the store with you buying things. And there was a shark and he was pink, like my favorite color and he bit me, he was mad at me, but he was nice and I was holding hands with the shark. And Mom, you needed me cause I was a baby.”
The End
What an imagination!

Saturday was Mosie’s last soccer game of the season. She was so excited to get out on the field and play. Her whole team showed up, and they all played their little hearts out! She got her Trophy for participation, and that alone made her day.
We signed her up for next season with the same coach, but next time it will be more intense,7 on 7, and a goalie!
To explain the Sushi, McKay has been trying to get me to eat Sushi for a few years now, and I would, but I would totally chicken out and only eat the cucumber roll. Well, now I am becoming a little more daring, and I have had some with Tuna, Salmon, scary lookin fish eggs, octopus, tofu, and raw Albacore.
What am I thinking!?… I am thinking that Sushi is so Stinkin Awesome, I crave it! I still get me a cucumber roll, and a plain tuna, but I have been trying others. I am slowly workin my way into some crazy sushi flavors. I don’t know if this is good or bad!

That is the statement my 2 year old made during church today followed by a sigh. I responded by saying, “your bored? ” “Yeah Mom, I’m boring.”
Then about 40 minutes into our 45 minute drive to Layton, Nahvi put one arm behind her head and said, “I’m bored”.
I don’t know what to think about my 2 year old using the words Boring and Bored, let alone, using them correctly, like she understands the meaning.

Like I have said before, Nahvi is growing up way to fast. Sleeping in her own bed, now potty trained. She is so smart, and such a good girl. I took her to Target today to pick out some new underwear and a princess toy for doing such a great job. On the way in she said: “Mom, I am so Happy.” It made me cry a little. She has such a big heart for such a little girl. She picked out High School Musical underwear and The Little Mermaid underwear and picked a Sleeping Beauty Polly Pocket doll. On the way out, a lady that works at Target gave her a sticker, Nahvi showed her the new packs of underwear and told the lady, ” I got High School Musical underwear, cause I watch it!”
I Love my girls!

Yeah, my little Nahvi is finally sleeping in her own bed. Sunday night, I started putting her to bed in her own bed, and every night this week she has slept in it. I am so excited to finally have my bed back! This change has also helped Moab go to bed because she sees how brave her little sis is and she isn’t jealous that Nahvi gets to snooze in Mom and Dad’s bed. One thing that has been happening all week is that I have been waking up in the middle of the night wondering where she is, until I remember that she is in her own bed.
I had forgotten how nice it is to have my own space! I love my kids, but I also love myself ( I mean, come on, how could I not love me?), and for the last 6 years, I have been on Super Mom mode and I tend to forget to take care of my own needs. I am slowly finding a nice balance in our home where I take care of the family, but that includes taking care of myself!

So my little Mosie is not so little anymore, on the 8th, last week, she had me pull out her tooth!
It hurt a little, and bled a little, and she almost vomited a little from the taste of blood!
After I pulled it out, she sat at the table looking a little disappointed.
I asked her what was wrong and she said, “I just thought losing a tooth would be more exciting than it was.”
She was a little disappointed until we put her tooth under her pillow,
and then of course, waking up to a note, a toothbrush, and a golden dollar.
Her smile is so cute with that little tooth missing, it adds a little more character to my sweet super hero!
